GREAT FOOD NEARBY
Two of our favorites is in Historic Gainesboro. The Bull and Thistle is southern food with a Celtic style. On most Friday and Saturday nights, they have live music!
The Stolen Coin is at the top of the list also! With their oyster bar, bistro, and more, you wont be disappointed!
If The Bull and Thistle or The Stolen Coin is booked, or closed, the following restaurants are near and dear to us. We believe you will love them too!
-
Helen's is a great local, family run, 'meat and 3' that is just a few miles away. Check their hours to make sure they are open when you are hungry!
-
In the mood for BBQ? Try The Blue Pig, some of the best barbecue brisket in town! You can enjoy their quaint bar area or sit out in their shaded patio area.
-
Father Tom's is a Scottish Pub style local restaurant and pub with great food and a great selection of local craft beer and wine, and a wide selection of scotch.
-
Hooligans Half/Irish Pub and Restaurant is a 21+ bar/restaurant with some great food including fresh burgers, buffalo shrimp, and chicken wings along side of their irish dishes including thier well known Shepherd's Pie and Fish and Chips.
-
Crawdaddy’s West Side Grill is like a slice of New Orleans right in the middle of Cookeville." You can get Shrimp and Grits, Gator Bites, or a Ribeye Sandwich! You will love it!
-
For desert, try Cream City Ice Cream, or Lazy Cow Creamery, or Ralph's Donuts! Both are excellent choices within walking distance of Crawdaddy's, The Blue Pig, or Father Tom's. And Ralph's has the best Apple Fritter in Tennessee!
-
Need some coffee and would love an inviting environment? Nostalgic Coffee Cafe is an excellent choice! But Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts are not too far away...
-
Or is Italian more your style? Mama Rosa's has been a local favorite for decades!
